WHAT IS ENHANCED BRANDED CONTENT?

Amazon Enhanced Brand Content (EBC) is the advanced product content option available for third-party sellers who use Seller Central to sell their products directly to consumers.

EBC enables brand owners to change the product descriptions of branded ASINs. Successful product marketing at Amazon starts with a strong detail page.

EBC can also be used to answer the most common customer questions by providing relevant product details that help drive more rapid purchase decisions and may reduce the likelihood of having products returned.

EBC is only available to Professional sellers who have been approved as brand owners through the Amazon Brand Registry process, as well as emerging brand owners who are part of certain managed selling programs such as Launchpad and Amazon Exclusives.

After you’ve been approved, you’ll be able to add EBC only to products that are part of your approved brand catalog.

WHAT IS BASIC A+ CONTENT?

Amazon A+ Basic Content is available for first party (1P) vendors on Amazon and features high quality images. In short, A+ content better conveys the value of the product through the use of multimedia.

Basic A+ content is now free and unlimited for all Vendor Central users.

There are two options for creating a Basic A+ detail page in Vendor Express: you can build it yourself, or you can have Amazon build it for you.

With the self-service option, you build your layout by choosing from 13 different modules (10 standard and 3 advanced). There is a maximum of five modules allowed per page.

WHAT YOU NEED TO ENHACED YOUR PRODUCTS WITH BRANDED CONTENT?

As an Amazon vendor, you sell direct wholesale to Amazon. Then Amazon own the product once they receive it. The available options are Vendor Express, which is open to anyone, or Vendor Central, an invite-only program.

With Amazon Vendor Express, you can start selling your products to Amazon and expose them to hundreds of millions of customers worldwide. Amazon buys products directly from you and handles shipping costs, merchandising, customer service, and customer returns. Vendor Express requires that you own the intellectual property rights for the products you sell to Amazon (Amazon Brand Registry). If you do not own these rights, your products may still be eligible for other Amazon programs, as long as your products do not violate any third party’s intellectual property rights.

Amazon Vendor Central is the web interface used by manufacturers and distributors. If you sell via Vendor Central, you’re called a first-party seller. You’re acting as a supplier, selling in bulk to Amazon who becomes a full-time distributor of your products. Amazon buys and store the inventory, and take care of everything from shipping and pricing to customer service and returns.

As a seller on Amazon’s marketplace, you own the inventory until a customer receives it. Sellers utilize the Seller Central portal, with some different features available than the Vendor Portals.

Amazon provides Vine members with free products that have been submitted to the program by participating vendors. Vine reviews are the independent opinions of the Vine Voices. The vendor cannot influence, modify or edit the reviews. Amazon does not modify or edit Vine reviews, as long as they comply with our posting guidelines. A Vine review is identified with the green stripe Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program.
